Carondelet Music Center Wins Prestigious Award

Carondelet Music Center, under the direction of Sister Patricia St. John, has been recognized for outstanding achievement by Kindermusik International and once again this year has been named a Maestro Program. Recognizing exceptional service, Kindermusik International awards this certification to the top five percent of all Kindermusik educators around the world “who have built a truly expansive program and proved masterful in reaching a large number of families.” This is the ninth year in a row that our Music Center has received this award which was initiated in 2000!

The Kindermusik International Maestro Program has an exclusive membership based on a Kindermusik program's performance and growth over the past year. According to Michael Doughtery, president and chief executive officer of Kindermusik International, the company established the Maestro Program to reward Kindermusik educators whose achievements and outreach have risen “above and beyond, and have helped us on the highest level to further our mission of reaching every child and family with the power and beauty of music.” The Maestro Program recognizes the top 125 Kindermusik programs in the United States.

Headquartered in Greensboro, N.C., Kindermusik International publishes acclaimed music and movement curricula for children. A network of more than 4,500 licensed Kindermusik educators throughout the United States, Canada, Singapore and 20 other countries are specially trained to nurture the education and development of very young children

Congratulations, Sister Patti and the Carondelet Music Center, on this prestigious award!
