Sister Anne Tranelli Receives the 2011 St. John Neumann Award from Albany Diocese
Sister Anne Tranelli, CSJ, (Sister Anne Eugene) has been awarded the 2011 Saint John Neumann Award from the Albany (NY) Roman Catholic Diocese. The honor was presented to Sister Anne by Bishop Howard J. Hubbard on November 20, 2011, during the 2011 Celebration of Catholic Schools Liturgy, held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Albany.
The Neumann Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to Catholic school education. Sister Anne's award letter reads in part: "Through your service in so many ways, you have communicated to the broader community that Catholic schools are the best investment and hope for the future of the Church and society."
The award gives public acknowledgement to service to Catholic schools, demonstrated through personal characteristics of zeal, support, enthusiasm, purpose and selfless generosity in the spirit of St. John Neumann.
Sister Anne has served a teacher and principal in Catholic schools for over 30 years and in Albany Diocesan Hispanic Services for over 20 years.
